About the Teacher

About Me

I have been teaching for seven years.  Currently, I am on maternity leave with twins!  When I return, I am excited to announce that I will be at West Carleton teaching English.

I have a Masters of Education degree, Bachelor of Education degree,  and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Political Science, with BA degrees in Psychology and English. I am an English and Social Studies specialist, and hold additional qualifications in Special Education.

I have led numerous school initiatives in Assessment and Evaluation, English, Elearning, Numeracy, and Literacy. I have also developed a web-based literacy program called KickLit, which predicts OSSLT success and trains students using high interest content.  KickLit is currently in its second year, and in operation at several schools.
